Tulip (Darwin Hybrid)
About the Tulip (Darwin Hybrid)
The tallest and largest tulip class, with flowers up to 15 cm across on 60-70 cm stems. They are the most perennial tulips - returning reliably for 5+ years when other types fade after 1-2. They were developed by crossing Darwins with Fosteriana tulips. They are excellent cut flowers. They come in the widest range of colors. They are wind-resistant due to strong stems. They naturalize better than most tulip types. They are among the most popular tulips for landscaping. They prefer well-drained soil and full sun.
