How to Grow a Cut Flower Garden

Start with easy annuals: zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, and marigolds. Perennials like peonies and dahlias provide years of blooms. Plant in succession for continuous harvest from spring through fall.

Most cut flowers need full sun (6+ hours) and well-draining soil. Harvest in early morning when stems are fully hydrated. Strip lower foliage and immediately place in clean water with preservative.
